Improvement of Inclined Angle Feeding Design Lime Hydrator
The lime hydrator has been reasonably improved and optimized. 1) Using the temperature of the hydrating heat of CaO, the temperature of the water is raised to about 80 °C by a hot water conversion device within 10 minutes for digestion, which reduces the slaking time and slaking cost. 2) The second and third stage slaking adopts inclined feeding, which reduces the powder hydration and is completed in a combined body, which greatly improves the slaking effect, and increases the volume and quality, and improves the economic efficiency of the enterprise. 3) Raise the feed port of the digester to realize the slopped transmission drive of the lime hydrator.
Working Principle of Lime Hydrating:
Calcium hydroxide is made of quicklime (mainly CaO) as the raw material, after sieving and crushing, it is digested according to a certain quicklime-water ratio with calcium hydroxide as the main component. The production principle is: CaO + H2O = Ca (OH) 2
The more complete the digestion of calcium oxide and water, the higher the conversion rate of calcium hydroxide.
This is because when calcium oxide meets water, it first absorbs water to form an intermediate product hydrated calcium (CaO · 2H2O), and then undergoes a conversion reaction [CaO·2H2O→Ca (OH) 2] to produce calcium hydroxide. The hydration reaction between water molecules and calcium oxide crystals will produce a certain volume expansion and volume increase. This is because after the quicklime is mixed with water, the transfer rate of the reaction product is less than the hydration reaction rate. During the conversion of calcium oxide into calcium hydroxide powder, the surface volume increases.
