Barite pendulum grinding mill, also called barite grinder or barite pulverizer or barite pendulum roller grinding mill, is a new kind of milling equipment, which is made based on the improvement of the traditional Raymond mill. It is the most commonly used industrial grinding mill, which is applicable to grind many kinds of mineral powder, such as gypsum, talc, calcite, limestone, marble, feldspar, barite, dolomite, granite, kaolin, bentonite, bauxite, iron ore raw ore, gypsum ore, coal and other materials.
Barite is a common minerals containing barium, in which barium sulfate is the main component. It is originated in epithermal veins, such as quartz-barite vein, fluorite-barite vein, etc., which often co-exist with galena, sphalerite, chalcopyrite, cinnabar. After ground by barite powder grinding mill, the barite powder is mainly used in petroleum, chemical industry, paint, packing and etc. industries, 80~90% used as mud weighting agent in the oil drilling. In the glass production, it can act as fluxing agent and to increase the brightness of glass, especially main used as fillers in the drilling industry and refined barium. In addition, barite powder can also be applied to lithopone pigment, all kinds of barium compounds, packing industry, cement plant mineralizer, X-ray protective cement, mortar concrete, road construction, and many other fields.
Barite is firstly crushed by jaw crusher into certain size (less than 20mm), which are lifted up to the storage hopper by bucket elevator. The vibration feeder then conveys the crushed barite at a fixed rate into the grinding chamber of the barite grinding mill. The four or five rollers hung upon the spider-arm are running around the shaft. With the centrifugal force, the four or five rotational rollers will go around the ring tightly. The raw material is lifted up between the rollers and rings by the blade to grind the raw material into powder.
The grinded barite is blown up to the classifier, through which the barite powder is separated. Coarse barite particles fall back down to the mill for regrinding. The good particles will go into the collector, where qualified powder will be collected through the discharge opening. The purified air goes into the fan through the pipe above the cyclone collector. Air stream in all pipelines is negative pressure except for that in the fan and grinding chamber. Air volume in the barite grinding mill whole system increases because of the gas from the moisture in the raw material and the air from the flange conjunctions and feeding-in opening. The extra air volume goes into the pulse jet powder collector. The ultrafine powder in the air stream can be collected through the discharging valve.
