Mineral, Sand and Gold Spiral Classifier Machine for Washing and Classifying

 

    Spiral classifier is the most commonly used classifying equipment nowadays. It classifies the minerals by taking advantage of the different settling velocity of mineral particles with different size, shape, and density. Spiral classifiers are widely used for separation plant. They can be combined with ball mill to form a closed circuit for preliminary classification and check classification, sometimes they can be applied for ore washing, de-sliming and de-watering as well.

   

     There are high-wearable type single and double spiral classifier, and immersed type single and double spiral classifier, standard and extended type spiral classifier. The ground pulp is fed into tank from the inlet in the middle of settlement region, and the slurry classification sedimentation area is under the inclined tank. The spiral with low speed rotation stirs the slurry, so that the fine particles rise and overflow, while the coarse particles sink to the bottom of tank and are pushed upward by the spiral.

Spiral Classifier —Product improvement: an automatic elevating apparatus is added to the discharge opening. The scoop in ball mill is eliminated bringing more stable operation.Fine ore pulps are fed into water tank through feeding opening located in the center of settling zone. Beneath the inclined water tank is the ore pulp classification zone where ore pulps are stirred by low-speeded impellers. Fine ore particles are lifted up and then spilled out the overflow opening; coarse ore particles precipitate down to tank bottom and are discharged via discharge opening.

    The spiral classifier is mainly composed of a transmission device, a spiral body, a trough body, a lifting mechanism, a lower support (bearing bush) and an exhaust valve.

 

     The water tank of this machine is installed at an inclined angle. The inclination angle is determined according to the equipment configuration in the process. The transmission device drives the screw to rotate in the tank. The finely ground slurry enters the tank from the side feed inlet and forms a groove at the lower end of the tank. The surface area and volume of the slurry subsidence area are determined by the inclination of the sink and the height of the overflow weir. The low-speed rotating spiral can play a certain stirring effect. After the slurry is stirred, the light and fine particles are suspended on the top to form an overflow, which overflows from the overflow weir at the end of the water tank and flows into the next beneficiation process; the coarse particles sink to the bottom of the tank to form Sand is transported by spiral to the ore discharge outlet.
